1. Introduction
This Return and Refund Policy describes the terms and conditions under which LABOR SOCIEDADE CORRETORA DE CAMBIO LTDA ("Labor Cambio", "we", "us", or "our") handles cancellations, returns, and refunds for our services. This policy applies to all transactions conducted through our branches, website, and mobile services.
2. Currency Exchange - Right of Withdrawal
Under Brazilian consumer protection laws (CDC - Codigo de Defesa do Consumidor), customers have a right of withdrawal within 7 calendar days for services purchased remotely (online, by phone, or via WhatsApp). However, due to the nature of foreign exchange transactions, the following conditions apply:
- The right of withdrawal applies only if the foreign currency has not been delivered to the customer.
- If the currency has been delivered (physically or electronically), the transaction is considered final and cannot be reversed.
- Exchange rate fluctuations between the transaction date and the cancellation date will be taken into account for any refund calculation.
3. Exchange of Purchased Currency
Labor Cambio does not generally offer a "change of mind" exchange or refund for foreign currency that has been purchased and delivered. Foreign currency is a financial product subject to market fluctuations, and once delivered, its value may differ from the original transaction value.
In exceptional circumstances, at our sole discretion, we may consider repurchasing foreign currency from customers. The repurchase rate applied will be our current buy rate for that currency, which may differ from the original sell rate.
4. International Prepaid Cards
For international prepaid cards:
- Cards that have not been activated or loaded may be cancelled within 7 days of purchase, subject to a processing fee.
- Once a card has been activated and/or loaded with funds, the card cannot be cancelled. However, the balance can be refunded to the customer's bank account, subject to applicable fees and exchange rate adjustments.
- Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately. Subject to the card terms and conditions, the remaining balance may be transferred to a replacement card.
5. Travel Insurance
For travel insurance policies:
- Cancellation of a travel insurance policy is subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance provider.
- If cancelled within 7 days of purchase and before the policy start date, a full refund may be available (less any administrative fees).
- Once the policy period has started, no refunds are available.
- All travel insurance refunds are processed by the insurance provider and may take up to 30 business days.
6. MoneyGram Transfers
For MoneyGram money transfer services:
- Cancellation of a MoneyGram transfer depends on the status of the transaction.
- If the transfer has not yet been picked up by the recipient, it can be cancelled and the funds returned to the sender.
- A cancellation fee may apply as determined by MoneyGram's terms and conditions.
- Once the transfer has been completed (picked up), no refund is possible.
7. Corporate Exchange Services
For corporate exchange transactions:
- Corporate exchange contracts are governed by the specific agreement between Labor Cambio and the corporate client.
- Cancellation terms and potential penalties are specified in the service agreement.
- Any refund will be calculated based on market rates at the time of cancellation and may be subject to applicable fees.
8. Refund Processing
When a refund is approved, it will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed. Refund timelines:

9. Fees and Charges
Where a refund is applicable, the following fees may be deducted:
- Administrative processing fee: Up to 5% of the transaction value
- Exchange rate adjustment: The difference between the original transaction rate and the rate applicable at the time of cancellation
- Bank transfer fees: Any fees charged by financial institutions for processing the refund
10. Dispute Resolution
If you believe that a refund is due and it has not been processed, please follow these steps:

- If the matter remains unresolved, you may contact the Central Bank of Brazil's customer service channel or the relevant consumer protection authority (PROCON)
